January 2nd, 2009 by daniel dihardja

While searching drum and bass related videos, I discoverd this one which shows a drummer and a bassist jammin. Beside getting impressed by the cool groove they made, I was also fascinated by the way the bassist plays the bass. Check it out, it is a click worth.

Ralph Heid The Hurricane On The Xylophone

January 1st, 2009 by daniel dihardja

Recently I had the chance playing a xylophone for a moment. Since I have never played a xylophone, I was really impressed about this instrument. The balance between rythm and melody makes the xylophone an ideal instrument for rythmic oriented music. while searching for videos and other information about xylophone over the internet, I found this video on youtube which impressed me a lot. The most exciting part of the video is the second one which shows Ralph Heid as a 4 years old boy performing in frankfurt a.M.

August 3rd, 2008 by daniel dihardja

create an electronic music instrument from a pump using a piezo sensor and the arduino board

The signals coming from the arduino are then converted into midi (using custom software) thus the pump cen be used as a midi input to control sound params in several audio software like ableto live, reason etc.

Reactable

May 20th, 2007 by daniel dihardja

An interesting project I found over the net, Reactable, an interactive synthesizer table based on a tracking camera and a projector. The really nice thing about this project is that the tracking software is opensource and can be downloaded with the patterns at the project website, http://mtg.upf.edu/reactable/?software
